From very early on in
Dina’s life, she was completely drawn to visual aesthetics…
there was no question as to what she was going to pursue as a
career. Whether it was film or video, moving or still… she was
going to make pictures. She created videos and practiced
still photography throughout her teenage years and continued
doing so in college. |
|
After
graduating from St. John’s University in New York, she dove head
first into the filmmaking business with aspirations of becoming
a Director of Photography for feature films. She worked as a
camera assistant on many features, commercials and music videos,
freelancing for the following six to seven years.

Today, Dina
Santillo is a Lighting Director for a national TV network, and
occasionally teaches film production classes at St. John's
University as an adjunct. Dina
maintains a membership in good standing of IATSE Local 600,
Cinematographers Guild. She is presently concentrating on
her still photography portfolio
which has
evolved within her life as the most important medium for her
creative expression. |
